Woodworking
I enjoy getting into my wood shop and spending time “making saw dust” to create gifts for family and friends, furniture for our home or whatever projects happen to come my way. I spent a few months and rebuilt the kitchen in our last home creating all new drawers, doors and cabinets. Recently I restored a few pieces of furniture my grandparents first bought back in the 1950’s. You will not find better made furniture anywhere today and it is special having their history in our home today. I find it is a time to relax and enjoy myself. My head is clearer and I am able to think about life and some of the other issues I am wrestling with. I have “written” many of my sermons in the shop and am a better husband, pastor and father when I can escape to the shop for a few hours a week.
Here are a few of the projects I have worked on in the past, including a few pictures of the kitchen I worked on.
