Starting this Tuesday I will be leading a weekly time of reflection and prayer.
Our times together will follow a simple, yet helpful format.
- We will begin with a time of quiet and prayer to focus our attention on the movement of the Spirit.
- There will be a brief spiritual meditation taken from a passage of scripture or other reading that God has used in my life.
- I will lead the group through an adaptation of the Ignatian Examen of Consciousness as we seek to live as if all of life is a gift.
- We will close our time together by offering prayer for each other and our community.
Join together for this simple, yet profound opportunity to explore walking with the Spirit and each other in a closer, deeper way.
Participants can share as much or as little as each person feels led to share.
Start date: Tuesday, May 12th — you can stop in when available.
Group will meet via Zoom Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Please contact Pastor Dan for more information on how to join the group at pastor@ksqfbc.com.

If case you are interested here is a link to last Sunday’s sermon. We looked at Acts 7:54-60 which tells the story of the stoning of Stephen. There is a lot for us to learn from the example of Stephen.
In the midst of profound suffering and persecution Stephen remained faithful and shared the truth of who Jesus was. He was rewarded with a sense of peace and joy that can only be described as sacred.
There is a challenge within this passage for us to consider who is watching as we travel this season of mitigation, social isolation, and disruption to our lives. The witness we share will have an impact upon many who are watching how we live and move.

Ah, words to feed the soul. I just watched your sermon – so thank you for your love of Christ, Pastor Dan, and the depth of love with which you serve in his name.
Debbie Kelsey says
May God bless this new ministry.
